Barbara and Lukie have been fantastic and super patient. My son Lucas has really struggled with his confidence at school and with reading and writing. They have set him up for success. Lucas's school report card improved a lot within 1 term! We did the program over zoom and it was great. Lucas has learnt to focus and has enjoyed learning with plasticine. Highly recommend Sydney Dyslexia. 👌

Wow, where do I begin!!!
First and foremost I would like to thank Barbra Hoi and her team for an amazing retreat focusing on dyslexia. My daughter was recently tested and diagnosed with dyslexia by the professional Barbra Hoi. We were invited on a retreat with Sydney Dyslexia to help my daughter in dealing and managing her recent diagnosis with dyslexia.
I wholeheartedly recommend Sydney Dyslexia and Barbra Hoi to help and support each other on a new journey in understanding how to cope and apply the tools taught to you and discover the you who has always been misunderstood.
Now she is confident and ready to take on the world.

Barbara is a fantastic teacher and practitioner of her craft. She provides a contemporary, engaging and warm learning experience. Her approach suits anyone - adult or child - that needs to improve their communication skills, language skills and reading comprehension skills.
Our education system isn't designed for everyone - especially those that are non-verbal thinkers. As a non-verbal thinker myself, I've had certain challenges and worked my way through life using coping mechanisms. Particularly with reading and comprehension.
Barbara identified some of my coping mechanisms. Then she gave me a better way - a new way to consume words. She also helped me understand what is happening at the foundational level - it's no longer a mystery - this learning is priceless.

After a year I have come back and just came on a retreat this week to be trained to become a dyslexia teacher! I want to now help other people that struggle with dyslexia.

Barbara is a unique and skilled educator with understanding and patience for individuals on the dyslexia journey. In one week with Barbara my daughter learnt all the basic fundamentals of maths that she had been struggling with for years. She said it was so easy when she was taught by someone who understood how her brain worked. I cannot recommend Barbara enough, thank you!

My son went through Barbara's dyslexia programme a few years ago and the outcome was beyond my expectations. He had been diagnosed with ADHA too and has since been off his medication, as the programme was so successful. His ATAR of 98.6 speaks for itself. Her manner and positive attitude gives her students confidence and self esteem, as well as improves their literacy and helps them focus. I can highly recommend Barbara's approach for dyslexic individuals young and old! 😊
